Thursday club social

A Thursday evening where it was deemed possibly too wet for this weeks ride. However despite the plan to cancel it John Wickens and myself decided to give it a go. With heavy dark clouds looming we just went for a quick loop via Fleur de Lys , Becketts and past Fairfield church back to Appledore. We got caught in a brief shower but nothing to deter our commitment. When reaching the pub it seemed the Chairman had got wind of our outing and was soon sat beside us with a pint in his hand. Conveniently, in his haste he’d forgotten his pocket money. Despite this a good evening was had and we even got to meet John’s daughter.
