Ride report
No photos this morning because I am rubbish at photography. But a cracking ride from the bridge, up a slightly new way (to us) to Wye via Mersham. Took a gamble on a “Road Ahead Closed” sign to find the road was now a sea of road planings, so we had to walk for a bit, then took the next turning off to the road along the bottom of the downs. Weather was beautiful which put all three of us in a good mood! The original Wye café had great inexpensive food. On the way back we passed hundreds and hundreds of cheerful people on a Ghurka support walk, then probably another 100 who had presumably started later, but they were runners. A lot of weaving was required, but they all survived! Unfriendly behaviour from a Landrover briefly broke the serenity, then it was back to Woodchurch for one of us, and to Biddenden then to Sandhurst and Rolvenden for the other two, with a much needed debrief at the Bull in Benenden.
